2 Resources for Your Berner

Hi friends! Fall is in the air, and our Berners are as energetic as ever. Bryshka and Bulochka, shown in the photo above, enjoyed an outing. We went for a drive enjoying some glorious fall colors and mountain scenery and stopped off by a river. Life is full, but good, and today we’d like to share two resources we’ve found immensely helpful in caring for and training our Bernese Mountain Dogs. We hope they’re helpful to you as well!

(Note: we do not get any sort of financial kickback or advertising by recommending these products. These are simply some helpful tools we wanted to share.)

  1. The Gentle Leader

Berners love it when you take them on a walk or hike. But sometimes they decide to take you for a walk. As they can get quite large and strong, it’s important to train them not to pull, and the “Gentle Leader” is a helpful tool for doing this. As the name suggests, it “gently” teaches them to not pull, making walks much more pleasant. Check it out here

  1. West Paw Toys

Berners, especially as puppies, can be vigorous chewers. West Paw toys are the most durable dog toys we’ve found, and our Bernese Mountain Dogs love them! They’re made in Montana, U. S. A. Check them out here

Well, there you go! Fellow Bernese Mountain Dog owners, do you have any resources you’d like to recommend? Share them in the comments below! Enjoy your Berners, and always remember that the God who gave our dogs such incredible design is also the God who created us in His image to bring Him glory in all we do.
